We celebrate diversity. We cultivate relationships. We challenge ourselves and others. We champion excellence in all endeavors. We change the world one person at a time.Mission Statement

Welcome to Santa Fe Trail, home of the Cyclones!

At Santa Fe Trail Middle School, we believe that education is most effective when students feel supported, valued, and inspired. Our commitment to the whole student is evident in the resources and programs we offer.

A Legacy of Growth and Innovation

Since its establishment in 1968, Santa Fe Trail has been a cornerstone of the Olathe community, dedicated to fostering academic excellence and personal growth. In 2024, we opened a state-of-the-art, 148,000-square-foot facility designed to meet the evolving needs of our students. This modern campus features a performing arts auditorium, two gymnasiums, an indoor swimming pool, and an ICC-500 storm shelter gymnasium, providing a safe and enriching environment for all.

Supporting Every Student

Understanding that students thrive when their basic needs are met, we offer resources like the Cyclone Closet, managed by the Olathe Junior Service League. This initiative provides students and families with essential items, including clothing and hygiene products, at no cost.

The closet is accessible during school hours, evenings, and weekends, ensuring support is always within reach.
